The State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan is a unique architectural project with a total area of 40,000 square meters, of which 30,000 square meters are allocated to open space. The museum is located in the historic part of Tashkent, within Uzbekistan’s largest national park, and is a project whose architecture inspires admiration.
The planned building consists of nine floors, including three underground levels. The building is designed using three geometric forms — circular, square, and triangular — each with its own height and architectural style.
The project includes vast exhibition halls, spacious cafés and a restaurant, a library, VIP areas, conference halls, and shared multifunctional spaces.
The HPBS team is responsible for the museum building’s certification. The client’s initial objective is to certify the property under the LEED program at the Silver level; however, in the course of the work, our experts identified the potential to achieve the Gold level. The current certification strategy includes measures to improve energy efficiency and water efficiency and to use environmentally friendly materials. Every aspect of the LEED certification system has been developed in detail and is being implemented at each stage of the project, with the process supported by an accredited expert.
