On July 18–19 in Tashkent, HPBS, together with NBT, held a training titled “Calculation, Optimization and Offsetting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions” for representatives of banks in the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of the Asian Development Bank.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has been actively developing its climate policy and low-carbon economy. The green transition and the ESG agenda are becoming increasingly relevant for businesses and banks in Uzbekistan, which are gradually beginning to introduce sustainable development principles into their operations.
During the training, HPBS partners Marina Kupriyanova and Anna Zavaleeva told representatives of Uzbekistan’s banking sector about different greenhouse gas emissions calculation methods, accounting systems and types of reporting, and introduced the participants to the innovative PERIX platform, which automates greenhouse gas accounting for companies.
