EDGE Expert Training

HPBS, in collaboration with IFC (International Finance Corporation), is conducting a series of training sessions on green building and the EDGE system. Take part in the EDGE Expert training in Tashkent, after which you may apply for the status of “International EDGE Expert.”

Training program:

Day 1

Session 1

Process and methodology

• Green buildings and the EDGE system

• Definition of a “green building”

• Introduction to EDGE certification

• EDGE methodology and software

Session 2

• Practical workshop using EDGE software.

Session 3

• EDGE certification: process and participants

• How to become an EDGE Expert

• Key certification steps for buildings under construction

Day 2

Session 4

Certification criteria:

• Energy savings

• Water savings

• Reduced carbon footprint of building materials

Practical work

• Practical example of uploading and registering for certification

Specific considerations for projects in Uzbekistan

The training is open to everyone.

Instructors:

• Ilya Zavaleev — CEO of HPBS and an accredited expert in international green standards: EDGE (Faculty, Auditor, Expert), LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, and IBPSA regional affiliate.

• Anastasia Andyuseva – an experienced practitioner accredited under the following standards: EDGE Auditor, EDGE Expert, and LEED AP BD+C.

Training duration: 2 days, 4 hours per day.

Format: in-person training.

Language of instruction: Russian.

Training fee: $200 (2 550 000 UZS)

Completing the EDGE Expert training program and subsequently becoming an EDGE Expert enables participants to expand their knowledge of green building, improve their professional qualifications, increase their career growth opportunities, and become more sought-after specialists in the emerging green market.

For companies, training employees under the EDGE Expert program makes it possible to improve the standard of services provided, deliver distinctive value to clients, and attract new talent to the team.

To obtain the EDGE Expert qualification, you must:

• have a higher education degree in construction or a higher education degree plus a construction-related specialization;

• complete the EDGE Expert training program;

• pass the examination on the Prometric platform.

EDGE Expert examination fee: $100 (not included in the training fee and paid separately by participants through GBCI). If the examination is passed successfully, the EDGE Expert examination fee is reimbursed for women.
