New Tashkent territory
New Tashkent is a planned new city that will be built east of Tashkent, between the Chirchiq and Qorasuv rivers. It will cover approximately 20 000 hectares and be designed for 2 million residents. The New Tashkent plan allocates 30% of the territory to parks and green spaces and calls for the creation of a 40 km green belt.
New Tashkent is a large-scale project to create a new city with developed infrastructure east of Tashkent. It provides an opportunity to incorporate modern, sustainable construction principles from the outset that will remain relevant long after commissioning. Introducing environmental standards as the territory is developed will help prevent many future problems and make the district an example of sustainable development for the entire country.
