Tajik Aluminium Company (TALCO) - One of the Largest Aluminium Producers in Central Asia

The Tajik Aluminium Company (TALCO) is one of the largest aluminium producers in Central Asia, with a history spanning nearly 50 years. The company's products are exported to Europe and other countries, adhering to the principles of sustainable production and consuming energy from renewable sources.

HPBS is conducting the following for TALCO:

 

  • Analysis of Current CBAM Regulatory Requirements: Evaluating the current regulatory framework of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and its implications for TALCO.
  • Preparation of a Roadmap for CBAM Compliance: Developing a comprehensive roadmap to ensure TALCO's products meet CBAM requirements, considering upcoming changes in the CBAM program.
  • Market Analysis of the EU: Assessing the average environmental footprint of typical products in the EU market to benchmark TALCO's performance.
  • On-Site Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory: Conducting a detailed inventory of greenhouse gas emissions at TALCO's production facilities.
  • Quarterly CBAM Reporting: Calculating and preparing TALCO's quarterly CBAM reports:
    • Initial Carbon Footprint Calculation for Aluminium Products: Determining the carbon footprint of TALCO's aluminium products for CBAM purposes.
    • Preparing Quarterly Carbon Footprint Reports: Compiling reports on the carbon footprint of TALCO's products in CBAM-compliant formats.
  • Training TALCO's Team: Educating the client's team on conducting greenhouse gas emissions calculations for the organization, calculating the carbon footprint for products, and preparing CBAM-compliant reports.

 

This comprehensive approach ensures TALCO's alignment with international sustainability standards and enhances its competitive edge in the global market.
