The Uzbekistan Green Building Council, a non-commercial, non-governmental organization, began its activities in 2018. Since its inception, the Council has conducted various events, including campaigns, seminars, and training sessions aimed at raising environmental awareness among the population and promoting sustainable development principles amid growing urbanization.

 

 

Partnership with HPBS (since 2023):

 

 

1. Climate and Engineering Consulting:

 

• Providing expertise in creating resource-efficient spaces.
• Joint efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across Uzbekistan.

 

 

2. Skill Development and Training:

 

• Enhancing competencies in climate risk management, and the development of eco-friendly buildings and territories.
• Participation in industry events to advance the climate agenda.
• Offering scientific and consulting services for landscaping and comprehensive territorial development.
• Scaling best management practices and supporting project implementation in urban areas.
• Methodological support in forming management teams at the local level.

 

 

3. Project Support and Development:

 

• Supporting the launch of promising projects with scaling potential within Uzbekistan.
• Conducting sociological surveys and research.
• Encouraging active participation of citizens and organizations (regardless of their organizational and legal form and goals) in activities aimed at improving urban environment quality.

 

 

4. Educational Initiatives:

 

• Organizing and conducting seminars, conferences, and master classes for professionals.
• Creating a network of experts, analytical, and research organizations in collaboration with HPBS to support the implementation and expertise of urban development projects.
• Joint activities in climate risk management.
• Engineering buildings and territories with environmental considerations.
• Sharing analytical data within the competencies of both parties.
